Suber S. Huang, MD, MBA

Suber Huang MD at AAO 2017Dr. Huang specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina. His expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, complications of eye surgery, vein occlusion, macular pucker, macular hole, retinopathy of prematurity, trauma, genetic syndromes, and ocular inflammation. He is internationally recognized as a retina specialist and is an expert in clinical trials.

Dr. Huang is currently the Founder and CEO of Retina Center of Ohio. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is the chair of its Research, Regulatory and Federal Affairs Committee. He is a Past President of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the founder and curator of its Retina Image Bank. He is also a member of the Diabetes Association of Cleveland, the Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology, and the Vitreous Society Foundation. He serves as a reviewer for Archives of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology, and Current Eye Research. Dr. Huang has been selected as one of The Best Doctors in America” by Best Doctors® to date since 2003 and has been listed by Northern Ohio Live Magazine and Cleveland Magazine as one of the areas “Top Docs” every year since 2004. In 2013, he was given the National Leadership Award by the National Diversity Council and named Person of the year by the Cleveland Sight Center. In 2014, he was named Attending of the Year in Case Western Reserve University’s Department of Ophthalmology.

John Wroblewski, MD

John Wroblewski MD at AAO 2017Dr. Wroblewski specializes in medical retina and oncology, uveitis, surgical retina, and inherited retinal diseases. He has been board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology since May 1994. Dr. Wroblewski started his career training at Loyola College of Baltimore where he graduated with a B.S. in 1981. He went on to attend Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he completed his M.D. in 1986 followed by an internship in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital. From there he completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern-Parkland Memorial Hospital. Wanting to expand his horizons, Dr. Wroblewski completed his fellowship in surgical retina/ medical retina at the University of London - Moorfields Eye Hospital. Afterwards, he completed a second fellowship in surgical retina/ medical retina at Foundation for Retina Research in New Orleans.

Dr. Wroblewski is currently the Chief of the Department of Ophthalmology at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, UMBO Society, and the American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Wroblewski is also the founder of Retina Care International.
